There are several convenient options for traveling to Ohio University campus in Athens, Ohio to attend The ICPR Americas 2024 Conference. Find below information for flights and lodging.
Air Travel and Transfers
Athens is served by John Glenn Columbus International Airport in Columbus, the capital of Ohio. The airport is 75 miles away from Athens.
Columbus is served by major airlines, like Delta, American Airlines, United, Air Canada who have regular flights from their hubs (such as Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Detroit, Miami, New York, and others) into Columbus Airport. Through alliances, their international partners also have access to those flights.

Transfer to Athens from Columbus
We will organize shuttle buses from Columbus to Athens on Sunday, July 21 and Wednesday/Thursday July 24/25, both in the morning and in the late afternoon to transport all participants to Athens. We will query participants on their travel plans during the registration phase.
Travel in and around Athens
Athens City operates Athens Public Transit which runs through the main corridor connecting hotels, Campus and outing and shopping areas. See the transit website for specific schedules and routes.

Ohio University Inn

On-campus Housing
On-campus accommodation is available with two options:
a) Single room at rate of $52 per night with two rooms sharing the suite with shared bathroom,
b) Double room at rate of $27.50 par night per person, in this case two people share the room.
In both cases you have an option to select suitemate/roommate and our staff will handle match requirements.
The details of both options will be available on the registration page, when you make reservation.
Ohio University can provide both traditional style or suite style housing options for your conference participants. Conference & Event Services can assist with the assignment process for all guests or provide your organization with floor plans and assignment spreadsheets prior to guests’ arrival to manage the assignment process directly. Our staff will coordinate check-in/out and be available for assistance throughout the participant’s stay.
On-campus housing is located 0.4 miles from Baker Center, with 10 minutes walk to lower level of Baker Center. More information to come.
Other hotels in Athens
They are located between 0.8 and 3 miles from the Baker Center. Hotels may provide shuttles to Baker Center. There is also public transport, running every 30 minutes through the town. See the shuttle website for routes and schedules.
